Join us for the Portland Kids Duathlon!
We’re thrilled to sponsor Portland’s first duathlon race for kids ages 5-12! The Portland Kids Duathlon will be held the morning of July 15th at CycleMania with a course along the East End and Bayside trails. All profits from this race will be donated to the Portland Education Foundation. This race will sell out! Register your little athlete today. The race is presented by Benchmark Residential & Investment Real Estate and CycleMania.
What’s a Duathlon? This new race gives young people ages 5-12 an opportunity to participate in the fast growing world of multi-sport racing. The run, bike, run format of a duathlon is fun and approachable, a great race for non-swimmers and triathletes alike. The event includes two waves, a bike/run short course for 5-8 year olds and run/bike/run long course for 8-12 year olds. All young duathletes will finish the race with a smile on their face, a medal around their neck, and a boost of self-confidence and pride. More race details.
Volunteers Needed!! This is going to be a super fun, feel good event. Of course anything like this can’t happen without volunteers. We need help both July 14th at packet pick up and July 15th during the race. Positions include handing out packets, checking in bikes, helping in transition, assistance along the course, medical support, set up/clean up, and water and food stations. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you are willing to lend a hand.
Questions? Contact Race Director, Amy Landry at email@example.com to discuss.
