Dear Preschool Families,
We hope this newsletter finds you well on the first day of break as the snow comes down and continues to make our world a winter wonderland. It is a humorous contrast to yesterday when the warm sun melted the ice and snow in our playground into "lakes" as the children called them. The preschoolers enjoyed seeing the toy boats float and filling cups up with water to "paint" our chalkboards and bricks. Then we got to watch the sun dry the water up again!
The true highlight of the week was when we opened up all the early childhood classrooms for our pajama party. With flashlights in tow preschoolers, toddlers, and kindergarteners, all camped out in dim lit forts, enjoyed some crunchy stove-popped corn, and danced away to some party music. It was joyous for the children and adults alike to spend time with all our friends enjoying our rich space of play.
The concert was also a heart warming moment of the week as the children shared the simple gift of music with the whole school. We hope that this break your home is full of the warm hearted simple gifts that being with family brings. From taking walks, baking treats, sledding, singing, dancing, coloring and creating, snuggling, laughing, hugging, and as always learning, we hope you have a wonderful winter break.
