A Snowy Showcase Week

We had a wonderful, chilly Showcase Week in the toddler room! This week we shared our exploration of construction with the preschool students. Toddlers showed the preschoolers the video of the Breakwater construction site and welcomed the preschoolers' additions to their building work.

Children were excited by the snow and ice on our playground and were delighted to share the space with kindergarten students on Wednesday. The toddler and kindergarten students worked together to shovel snow, care for "horses", and spray the snow with colorful paint. The toddlers also visited the Castle Room to act out The Mitten and Counting Mice with puppets.

During our art studio, the children worked with cardboard boxes, Styrofoam, plastic bottles to create many different items. Many children experimented with using liquid glue and paintbrushes. Some children were interested in how the liquid glue mixed with markers while others tried to attach boxes using glue and tape.
