Building Bridges, Toasty Fires and Fun With Friends

Some toddlers enjoyed our latest adventure to the Jessie Land with children from Kindergarten, 3/4 and 7/8.  We began our adventure by watching trees being cut with loud chain saws and then enjoyed a snack in the shelter before we set off to work.  After a hike through the woods and investigating an existing bridge over the water, a couple of our friends worked with small hammers to nail a board onto one of the boardwalks.  Since it was a bit chilly another friend headed back and helped to build a fire to keep us toasty warm.  The fire was blazing while we enjoyed a picnic lunch on a blanket before we headed back to Breakwater to end our day.

Friendly Reminders

School photo packages are here for families who ordered by November 28th and can be picked up in the office! All retakes and late orders will arrive next Wednesday the 14th.

Tuesday will be a pajama party for Early Childhood!  After a late evening for the Winter Concert on Monday your child can wear pajamas to school, which may make it a little easier to get out of the house in the morning.

Showcase Week is upon us! To help celebrate our construction exploration, we will be making tools out of recycled materials during our art studio on Wednesday, December 14th at 9:00 AM. We would like to invite anyone who is interested to join us during this art studio time so you can experience the fun and see firsthand what the children have been investigating.  Thank you for the donations of recycled materials we have received so far.  If you have any more items you would like to bring in to help the children make tools please bring them in by Tuesday.

You can show your children these photos and ask them what they worked with outside and inside this week.
